In the General John A. Logan Historic District Oak Street between 15th & 17th Streets in Murphysboro, Illinois
Since 2016, we have sponsored the annual Oak Street Fine Arts Fair, closing the brick street in the John A. Logan Historic District for an all-day party!
Again in 2018, we had live music, food, and a great variety of exhibiting artists working in media such as ceramics, printmaking, painting, glass, metals-jewelry, sculpture, weaving, photography, leather, drawing, stained glass, and more.
Children's Areawith hands-on art between 11 and 3! We had activities scheduled at 11, 12, 1, and 2, with an ongoing Children's Mural.
Thanks to everyone who joined us for seven great sets of live music, 10 to 5, on the Oak St. Stage (at Oak & 16th).
Hands-On Art for Children
In 2018, we expanded our offerings for kids. For several hours during the fair, volunteers led structured art activities for children. Between 11 and 3, we also had drawing supplies available for kids to add to the ongoing Children's Mural.
